SYDNEY, This Day.

The Administrator of the Mandated Territory of New Guinea (Brigadier-; General McNicoll) reports that the total number of deaths as a result of the Rabaul eruption is only 18, though there are some 300 natives not accounted for. These, he states, w:ll probably be found among the population of the surrounding villages, to which thvf apparently fled in the first hours of confusion and terror.
