In ah impressive scene at an international Rotary conference banquet, 250 French and 150 German Rotarians solemnly pledged, themselves to a policy of friendship between the two nations by promoting mutual intellectual and cultural relations.
A French spokesman emphasised that Frenchmen hatefi war worse than fear.
