Saturday afternoon's storm prevented the completion of the fixtures, only seven games being finished. The cold, wintry conditions caused much fumbling, as the ball was difficult to handle. Arrangements for the completion of games- set down for last Saturday will be made by the management committee ..later in the season. ; REFEREES' ASSOCIATION. The June meeting of the Wellington Basketball Referees' Association was held on Monday night, Mr. E. Brewin presiding in the absence of the president, Mr. W. E. Howe. Among those 'present were Mesdames* C Dyer, A: Muir, H] D.-Muir^ Misses M. Armstrong, O; Tyndall, N. McGuire. E. Press, J. Mitchell, E. Ruddell, L. Sturrock,' J. Simmoi-s, M. Blake, L.Clarke, Messrs. Morris, Budden, McPherson.

The secretary reported that! Misses Avenall and Campbell. would not be available for the. rest of the season. It was decided to thank both for their -past services, and to express to Miss Campbell the hope for a speedy recovery from her illness.

Correspondence received from the New Zealand Referees' Association advised that this year's theoretical examination would be held between June 21 and 26. It was-.decided to hold the examination in Wellington; on Tuesday, June 22. Mrs; C. :Dyer was appointed/supervisor.' Notice was received "from Mrs. A. Muir, Misses E. Ruddell, M. Blake, J. Mitchell, and Mr. Morris of their intention to sit fpr the examination. ..-.'.

In response" to a request from the N.Z.R.A. the names of the following referees were forwarded to the New Zealand Association as qualified and available referees for the New .Zealand tournament:—Mrs. C. Dyer, Misses Wharton and Sturrock, and Mr. Ede.

Mrs. Granger, Misses Blake, M. Daniel, H. Jacobsen, and J. Grainger were nominated as emergency referees.
