Royal Arch' Chapter.—The half-yearly meeting oi Chapter No. 4 was held recently, Past R.A'.p. Bro. Ketko presiding. Discussion on amendment to rules for. the Mollison Shield conipeti-tipn-was. held over till the next meet-iUgcl;-Two JPast Arch Degrees were conferred. ' R.S.-Bro. Abel, assisted by Bro. Middleton 'as master of ceremonies, installed the following officers ior the ensuing term: —Royal Arch Druid, B,ro. H. J.. Willis; R.V.A.D., Bro. R. Ewip§; R.A.P., Bro. W. Copper; R.V.A.B.s;. Bros. Clements and Barnes; R.p., Biro. W. Lepper; R:M.S., Bro. F. Wakeling. Bro- Cooper reported on attending lodges, and examining candidates for office. Bros. J. Taylor and Matthews were appointed judges for the Mooney Shield ritual competition. Bro. Willis, o.n behalf of thp Chapter, presented Bro. A- Ketko with a Past President's Jewel.

Pr-ide.,' of Brooklyn Lodge.—Arch Driiid Bro. A. J. Giddens presided over a large attendance. The bards reported on' sick members, and sick benefits were passed for payment. The District President, Bro.' Humphries, paid an offlcia.l vis\t. Two new members were initiated/bringing, the membership up to bne ; hundred. The election of officers for the ensuing twelve months resulted as follows:—Arch Dryid. Bro. R. E. Mead; V.A.. Sister O. Quinn; 1.G., Bro. Dixon; Q.G., Bro. G. James; faster of Ceremonies, Bro. J. p. Mead; A.D.B.s, Bros. Rufcehstein and Rogers; ViA.B.s, Sister Johnstone and Bro. J. Hood; Druids' Hos. Assn. delegate, Bro. R. Dockery; Medical Institute delegate, Bro. J. D. Mead; U.F.S. Council delegate, Bro. A. J. Giddens. A hearty vote of thinks to the visitors was replied to by Bro. Humphries (Royal Arch Chapter), Bros. Taylor, Couper, and Jennings. It was decided to hold a dance for the children's Christmas tree fund. The lodge was closed in harmony.

Pacific Lodge.—A.D. Bro. Dobson presided over a large attendance. The bard's report on sick brethren was received, and sick pay amounting to £62 (3s 8d passed. Bro. I. Smith reported on ?, meeting of the Medical Institute. Bro. Do.bso.n outlined the rules drawn up for the "Visiting Gavels" presented by the Arch Druid of Mewburn Lodge. An invitation received from the British Legion of Frontiersmen to attend a lecture was accepted. Two candidates were proposed, and two clearances granted. Bro. G. Waddle, jun,., the retiring J.P.A., \yas accorded a vote of thanks for-his services, and it was resolved to present him with collar and diploma, at the annual social. Loyal Antpiodean Lodge.—Bro. Pillar, Noble Grand, presided over a failattendance. The District Grand Master, Bro. J. L. Stewart, and several district officers were welcomed. The D.G.M. installed the officers for the ensuing term. The D.G.M. presented' a Past Grand's emblem to Bro. C. Howard on behalf of the lodge in recognition of his services. A resolution of sympathy with the.; relatives-of the late Bro. Henry Johnson was passed, members standing in silence. 'Sick visitors reported arid six-benefits-were authorised for payment. At the conclusion of the meeting a game of bowls was played, District Officers v. Antipodean, and this resulted in a win for Antipodean. Loyal Petone Lodge.J-Bro. Sherwood presided over a well-attended meeting. Discussions took pla.ee in regard to a contemplated visit from Heart of Oak Lodge, Carter-ton, and also.in respect to the proposed visit to Masterton Lodge. Bro. Stewart, District Grand Master, was received vvjth other district officers arid the, ceremony of .in- •' stallatidri was-proceeded with.. Bro. Sherwood'was ' reinstalled '.into the Noble Grand's Chair. Bro. Norns was conductor during the ceremony, and Bro. C. O. Jorgenseri invested the officers. Bro. Sherwood thanked district officers for their attendance. Loyal Kilbirnie Lodge.—Bro. G. E. Yates, Noble Grand, presided. at the quarterly meeting.. Sister Reynard was conductor. The District Grand Master, Bro. J. L. Stewart, accompanied by the Immediate Past D.G.M. (Bro. K. Cropp , the District Secretary (Bro. Guise), and Bros. Wickens and Farrow (members of the district management committee), installed"'the officers for the ensuing term as follows:—Noble Grand, Sister Culverhouse; Vice-Grand, Sister Alloway; elective secretary, Sister Megan Champion; warden, Sister Forbes: guardian, Sister Dumblcton, conductors, Sisters E. Gibson and Arcus; lecture mistress, Sister M. Tregurlha: immediate past N.G., Sister J. Tregurtha; pianist, Sister Douglas. Arrangements were-.completed in regard to the visit to Masterton Lodge and further matters discussed in regard 10 the proposed, visit from Dannevirke Lodge It was decided to visit Rose of Sharon Lodge towards the end of the month. Sick reports were received from Sister Bell. The Noble Grand reminded members that next meeting would be commenced early, as a visit to Antipodean Lodge was on the programme. At the conclusion of the meeting games o£ bowls were enjoyed by members and visitors. 1.Q.0.F., N.Z. Onslow Lodge (Khandallah).—Bro, C. E. Grayndler, N.G.. presided overa large attendance at the recent meeting, which marked the twelfth anniversary of. the lodge. Official visits were received from the Deputy Grand Master (Bro. G. F. Rudkin), accompanied by Bro. B. W. Churchill and officers of Southern Cross, Wildey, Heretaunga, and Maraenui Lodges. One member was reported sick, after which members were entertained with musical items and a card tournament. On behalf of the lodge, the Deputy Grand Master presented Bro. S. P. Curtis w : ith a bar to his P.G. jewel in recognition of his continued service, and Bros. H. Johnson and A. J. Holloway with P.G. diplomas specially framed in recogni-

tion of services. The Deputy Grand Master conveyed anniversary greetings on behalf of Grand Lodge, and the congratulations and good wishes of their lodges were also tendered "by Bros. L. Johnson (Southern Cross Lodge), C. H. Havill (Wildey Lodge), H. G. D, Wade (Heretaunga. Lodge), and E. Sergent (Maraenui Lodge). Pride of, Karori Lodge.—Bro. M.Were, N.G.. presided, ■ visitors includ-; ing Bros. R. J. fathers and R. Harvey (Zealandia Lodge). One candidate was initiated and several others nominated. . Wildey Lodge (Island Bay).—Bro. G, Hogan. N.G., presided over a good attendance. Two members were reported sick and sick pay and other accounts were passed. Several social invitations were accepted. One member was admitted on transfer. One candidate was proposed' for membership. Reports were received from medical delegates, and a strong committee was appointed to arrange for the usual children's Christmas party. Visitors included officers of Southern Cross and Zealandia Lodges and Bro. F. Reilly. Maraenui Lodge (Miramar). —Bro. F. Sergent. N.G., presided over a good attendance. Three members were reported sick, sick pay and other accounts being passed. Several social invitations were accepted. One member was admitted on transfer and one candidate initiated. The indoor bowlscaptain reported that the lodge team had received the district bowls trophy from, Cleveland Lodge. Rahiri Rebekah Lodge (Miramar).— There was a good attendance, over which Sister E. Telford, N.G., presided. Qne member was admitted on transfer, grid three ladies were initialed. It was decided to make an official visit to Rose of Wellington Rebekah Lodge at the next meeting. It was also decided to meet early for floor-work practice.at next meeting, to be ' followed by a dance.

Rose of Wellington Rebekah Lodge. —Sister Salmond presided. Several members were reported sick, and accounts 'were passed. Invitations . for functions were accepted.' Visitors were Sister Torkington, L.D.D.G.M., members of Victoria, Esther, and Rahiri Rebekah Lodges. A vote of welcome was extended to visitors. Sisters Torkington, Mahoney, and ft'arnmall replyr ing on behalf of their lodges. Routine business concluded, members went into harmony. Esther Rebekah Lodge.—Sister F. Brammall, N.G., presided over a. good attendance. Accounts were passed for payment. One candidate wais pro-: posed for membership. Visitors present were Sisters Tprkington, L.D.D.G.M., Tahiwi, N. Johnson and Hakaria, and Bro. L. Johnson (Southern Cross Lodge). Sister Torkington presented Sister N. Johnson with a framed P.N.Q.'s' certificate. All visitors replied to the welcome. Sister M. Sergent re-, ported on a recent visit to Hawera,, and a visit was proposed for .Hiwa Lodge. ..'Lodge business disposed of, various games and competitions were held. ■
