A powerful drama, ''Nancy Steele Is Missing," the 20th Century-Fox production, js portrayed by the star of "The Informer and a big cast. Victor •McLaglen, winner, of the Motion Picture Academy s acting award for 1935, gives one of the best performances of his career in this, dramatic film, in which he is starred with .two of the screen's outstanding players, Walter Connolly and Peter Lorre, Europe's ."one-man chamber of horrors." June Lang and Robert Kent are featured in the pic-' ture, adding a romantic note to the proceedings. "Nancy 3teele Is Missing," with its tense thrills of emotion-lashing power, begins in the troubled days of 1917 with the disappearance of the daughter of Walter Connolly a munitions magnate. Shortly afterwards Victor McLaglen, whose knowledge of th» hprrors of swar has turned him to ardent pacifism, gets involved in a brawl with the police and in the hysteria of war-time he is given a two-year prison sentence. Framed by fellow-prisone-s as the instigator of an attempted gaolbreak, McLaglen is sentenced to life imprisonment.
