The King Country Open Golf Championship on Wednesday.attracted a field of over 90 players to the Taumarunui links. The qhampipnship was won by J P. Mortland (Taihape), who.returned a score of 75, 80—155. Other leading scores were: A. Sandel (Taumarunui), 81 75—156; Roberts (Hult), 8.4, 74—153.
