Fraser, Minister of Education, during his recent visit to Wa-' nganui,.Wvas the disability under, which the.Technical College carried on. Since the 'Murchison earthquake, when the Government ordered the removal of the Whole of the second storey, classes have been conducted in scattered buildings, many of them across the street from the main building. It was pointed out that there was ample room on the hostel site for a new college.

~Mr. Fraser promised to consider the matter, but said that the Wellington Girls' College, the Nelson Boys' College, and the Wanganui Girls College were all in urgent need of rebuilding. The task was great, and much money was required. He praised the fine work done in the hostel grounds.
