SENIOR A MATCH
. Karori B and University met at the Kilbirnie Recreation Ground today in a senior A hockey match which was postponed earlier in the season. Right at the commencement Larnach registered for Karori, but University worked hard and Shaw managed to beat the goalie. Play see-sawed for a time and Nimmo (Karori) eventually scored with a neat shot.
University 'opened the second half with a vigorous attack, but Karori retaliated and McDonald scored. Play was carried to the other end again and Shaw scored well for University after a determined run. A strong rush by Karori had. the opposing goalie worried and Watchman flicked the ball into the net. i Hard, play followed, with Karori mainiainirig a slight advantage, and JEdwards scored. A few' minutes later he repeated his performance, making.the final score Karori 6, University 2.
Tlie umpires were Messrs. C. P. McKenzie and R. H. Rolle.
