Mountain Dell,'4min 19 3-ssec, champion staying mare, who is in foal to Jewel Pointer, is now the property of Mr. G. Rosehbaum, who also owns Free Advice, the other great staying daughter of Blue Mountain King. Mountain Dell was got by Blue Mountain King from Whispering Dell, by Brown Pearl from Murmur's Daughter. Brown Pearl was got by Jewel Chimes, a son of Abbey Bells and Jewel Heiress. Jewel Pointer was got by ; Logan Pointer from Law Chimes, by Abbey Bells from Jewel Heiress. Blue Mountain King was got by Ribbonwood—Donnesse, by Don Cleve—Lazy, by Era—Miss Harold, by Chick Harold—Nellie, by Fusilier, a son of Musket and Yatterina, the dam of Libeller .(Great Northern Derby), Rosarina (ancestress of Wairiki, Auckland Cup), Matchlock (A.J.C. Leger, V.R.C. St. Leger), and Pinfire (an Auckland Cup winner).
