CANADIAN RESOLUTIONS

In a session lasting four hours » conference of the United Church of Canada passed a resolution rejecting the demand (for the complete disarmament of Canada. The resolution urged instead that the Government should eliminate the economic and political causes of war. The bombardment of Spanish towns was condemned, but a proposal to extend the censure to cover the British bombing of Indian villages a few months ago was refused.
