NEW BATTLESHIPS
MUSSOLINI'S INTENTION
IF ARMS CONFERENCE NOT CALLED
LONDON, June 7. The Rome correspondent of the "Morning Post" says it is understood that the Prime Minister, Signor Mussolini, intends to order the immediate construction of two 35,000-ton battleships if President Roosevelt does not respond, to his suggestion and summon a world conference on arms limitation. It is reported that plans for the vessels are already completed and approved.
