Barnes, in an address at the Diocesan conference, said Ijhat if per- j sons who remarried after being divorced sought God's help in Holy Communion he could not bring himself to refuse them. The Church should be willing to give church people whose first marriage was wrecked all the help that was possible to live soberly and faithfully in the new union, in which the children, if any, could be brought up christianly and virtuously.
