"AT HOME" TO GRADUATES
The Wellington Association of the New Zealand Federation <of University Women held its anaual "At Home" in the Wellington Women's Club last evening. Miss V. M. Greig, president, who wore a burgundy satin crepe and lace frock, received the guests, and welcomed a large number of new graduates. Miss Hodder (Boston, U.S.A.), Miss Pound (Auckland),, and Mrs. Ernest Beaglehole (Wisconsin, U.S.A.) were also made welcome. Dr. Agnes Bennett, who was guest of honour and principal speaker, gave a most interesting survey cf the International Federation of University Women's Conference at Cracow, Poland, which she attended as a council member. There were thirty-four different nationalities represented. Dr. Bennett described other places of interest she had visited. The architecture in Poland was particularly beautiful, and was marked by its loftiness of design and delicacy of I detail in sculpture. She described the I Cathedral of Santa Maria in Cracow, and gave many interesting aspects of Polish .art and life. Miss Ormi Reid played some delightful 'cello solos which were much appreciated, and was accompanied by Miss Nora Gray. Miss Barbara Bannister also gave some enjoyable piano solos. Supper -was served in the diningroom, and afterwards conversation was resumed in the lounge. Among the graduates who were made welcome were Miss Iris E. Dickens, M.A., Miss P. Edwards, M.A.. Miss. Letitia King, M.A., Miss Nancy Bullen, 8.A., Miss Olive Castle, 8.A., Miss Edna Coles, 8.A., Miss Florence Dunkley, B;A., Miss Helen Fletcher. 8.A., Miss Nora McLaren, 8.A., Miss S. Sanders, 8.A., Miss Kathleen Slater. ,8.A., Miss Betty Turner, B.A.
