Friday's closing prices for the following raw materials were as follows, those for May 28 being shown in parentheses:— Cotton. —Liverpool quotation, good American middling, spot, 7.31 d a lb (7.36 d); July delivery, 7.15 d a lb (same). Rubber. —Para, lid a lb (same); plantation smoked ribbed sheet, 9 5-8 d (lOd). Jute.—June-July shipment, Indian jute, Dundee quotation, £21 11s 3d a ton (£2l 18s 9d). Copra.—June-July, shipment, South Sea to London or Rotterdam, £15 12s 6d a ton (£ls 15s); smoked, to Marseilles or Genoa, £15 5s a ton (£ls 2s 6d); plantation, Rabaul, to London or Rotterdam, £16 12s 6d a ton (£l6 10s). Linseed 0i1.—£32 5s a ton (same). Turpentine.—37s 6d a cwt (38s' 6d).
