ENTHUSIASTIC CROWDS

VENICE, June 4.

The Duke and Duchess of Windsof arrived and embarked on a launch for a tour of the canals.

Amid the cheers of a large crowd, which they acknowledged from the windows, the Duke and Duchess of Windsor left by train at 2.30 p.m. Throughout their stay in Venice they were enthusiastically greeted by big crowds. In acknowledging the applause both the Duke and Duchesi raised their hands in the Fascist salute. The crowds at the station also gave tha Fascist salute and shouted "Long like the Duke and Duchess."
