AUSTRALIA'S COLOURS
Members of the , Australian fifteen to meet the Springboks in the Test matches will not wear the traditional green and gold jerseys, because the Springbok jerseys are also green. The Council of the Rugby Union has decided that the light blue jersey of New South Wales, as worn by the Wallabies on their tour of South Africa in 1D33, shall be worn instead, reports the Sydney correspondent of "The Post." Meanwhile, the management committee of the Rugby Union does not favour the council's decision, and it proposes to ask the council to reconsider it. The management committee does not favour the obliteration of green altogether from the Australian colours, and will suggest a white jersey with a green and gold band, black pants, and green and gold hooped socks. There is a feeling among members of the management committee that the Australian players should wear something different from the State colours, if only be cause ct the psychological effect.
