LOCAL BOXING ON THE MOVE
The Wellington Boxing Association determined to capitalise to the fullest degree the enthusiasm created by the contest at the Town Hall on Thursday night between "Young" Gildo and Clarrie Rayner, and particularly the high-class display given by the Filipino. This week's show will be followed on Thursday, June 17, by a double bill in which welterweights and lightweights will figure, and, a fortnight later,, it is intended to stage a bout between Gildo and Joe Hall, the clever Australian lightweight who did so well in the Dominion last year. The visit of "Snowy" Clarke has beeii abandoned,' at least in the meantime".
