OFFICERS ELECTED
MIRAMAR PLUNKET SOCIETY
The Miramar sub-committee of the Plunket Society held its annual meeting recently in the Baptist Church. There was a very large attendance. Mrs. H. Jowett, president of the central committee, was in the chair. The balance-sheet showed that the committee had had a very successful year. Regret was expressed that Mrs. H, Grouby was relinquishing the office of president and also Mrs. Smith that of secretary. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mrs. P. Kinsman; vice-presidents, Mesdames H. Grouby and G. Watkins; secretary, Mrs. Wild; treasurer, and delegate, Mrs. H. Craighead (re-elected); committee, Mesdames Smith, Burn, Wear, Young, E. Craighead, Bennett, Mead, Roach, Meadows; auxiliary committee, Mesdames Webley, Shelling, and Molhson. Addresses were given by Nurse Hitchman (of the Wellington Central branch), Nurse Beverley (district nurse), Miss Templeton (matron of Karitane Hospital), and Miss E. Ward (secretary of the Plunket Society). . Two songs by Mrs. Roach, accompanied by Mrs. Haley, were much appreciated. Afternoon tea was served.
