RUGBY, June.2.

The accounts of the Metropolitan Police Fund, just issued as a White Paper, show that the cost of the force for the year ended March 31 was £9,445,246. In addition to the commissioner, deputy commissioner, and four assistant commissioners, the strengtU of the force on January 1 was six deputy assistant-commissioners, 10 chief constables, . 35 superintendents, 741 inspectors, 54 junior inspectors. 2688 sergeants,: and 15,239 constables. ..The strength of the women police was one superintendent, three,inspectors, 11 sergeants, and 60 constables.
