LOWER HUTT COURT

Cases in the Lower Hutt Court yesterday were dealt with by Mr. H. P. Lawry, S.M. On charges of exceeding the licensed load with a heavy traffic vehicle, W. J. McGill was fined £1 and Eric McKenzie was ordered to pay costs. For exceeding 30 m.p.h. with his heavy traffic vehicle, Philip Darke was fined £2. Walter R. Carter was fined £2 for exceeding 30 m.p.h. in the borough. Arthur Friend Bayley was fined £1 for negligent driving and on a similar charge Ashley Mercer was fined £2. For being found on licensed premises after hours, George Riley was fined 10s. For allowing a horse to be at large, M. Morretti was fined £1. Jean Janssens was fined 10s for having an unregistered dog.
