YOUNGHUSBAND'S EARNINGS
Higher prices obtained for wool in Australia in the 1936-37 season and generally improved pastoral conditions have had a favourable effect -on the profits of Younghusband Ltd. in the year ended March 31. Larger profits enabled that company to make an increased distribution, to shareholders. Younghusband earned £32,390, or approximately 13 per cent, on paid capital, compared with £27,150 an 1935-36. Dividends have been raised from 3 per cent, to 10 per cent., requiring £25,000. The profit was the best since 192!) when £56,64.0 was earned; in that year the dividend of 15 "per cent, took £37 500 Investors' value Younghusband shares at 36s 6d, the yield being 5.5 per cent,
