APPLES SOLD AT LAST

The case of apples donated to the King George V Memorial Fund by the Hill Union of Fruitgrowers, Nelson, which realised over £26 in Nelson, and £13 in a Wellington mart yesterday, was offered again this morning and realised a further £6. It was eventually sold outright in the Post Office Square this afternoon, the ultimate buyer addressing it to the Otaki Health Camp on the spot. The sales* in the square realised £2 7s. 6d.
