They had already considered a statement on ihe proposal circulated by Mr. Lyons, and were able today to give considered .views on'it after Mr, Lyons had initiated the discussion. -
The political writer of the Australian Associated Press agency, understands that" all the Dominions gave an enthusiastic reception to tha idea and are ready to support it in principle, but that the stajge has not yet been reached for approaching the other Pacific, Powers. First of all it will be necessary to formulate draft proposals to enable further discussion by the Conference towards evolving an agreed formula, after which consultations will ', occur through diplomatic channels. «
