• PEKING, June 2. Enclosed in an "iron, lung," Frederick Snite,- a 1 Chicago millionaire's son who is suffering from Infantile paralysis and who must live in an iron respirator, has begun a life or death journey to Chicago which will cost £129,000. During the1 journey Snite's life will depend on the efficiency of a portable petrol engine which is now operating the giant respirator. The Chinese Government is co-operating by clearing the lines for a special train in which Snite will travel to Shanghai.'1 He.will then cross to San Francisco in a especiallyequipped room in the liner President Roosevelt. From San Francisco a'special train will carry him to Chicago. Snite will be accompanied by his father, doctors, engineers to operate the respirator, nurses, and diet experts.
