' '■':■'■' Miss Ranee Miller, ■■ who will be married shortly to- Mr. Erik-Parker, is having many parties planned for her. Last Saturday she was guest of honour at a ''linen tea" given by Miss Rosalind Stott, and received many beautiful and useful articles from the host of friends present. Today Miss Eileen Congreve was hostess at a luncheon party, at the D.1.C., when each of the guests brought a gift for the bathroom .or dressing table. One of Miss Miller's bridesmaids, Miss June Allison, is next on the list with a party scheduled for Saturday afternoon. Eastbourne Croquet Club. The annual meeting of the Eastbourne Croquet Club was held recently when Mrs. E. W. Wise presided over a good attendance of members. The balance-sheet disclosed a satisfactory credit balance. The following officers were elected: President, Mrs. E. W. Wise; vice-presidents, Mesdames Heenan and Child; secretary, Mr. W. Hutchings; treasurer, Mrs. C. Hill; auditor, Mr. C. H. Child; committee, Mesdames Andrews^ Bowie, Haughton, Robinson, Richards, and. Smith. Presentations were made to Mesdames Robinson and Hill, who have been captain and treasurer for a number of years; and to Mrs. Bowie, retiring secretary. Thanks were extended to the Eastbourne Borough Council and the Press for services ren : dered during the past season. A Round of Parties. A round of parties has been given for Miss Win Fleming, whose marriage to Mr.' Colin Mclntosh will take place shortly. A "crockery tea' was given by Mrs. Lionel Fleming, sister-in-law of the bride-elect and Miss Ruby Callinan was hostess at a "gift afternoon" in .the Majestic Lounge. A "linen tea" was given for Miss Fleming by Miss Yvonne Pearce, at her home in Hataitai, and the Misses Kath and Ruth Brennan were joint hostesses at a "pantry" party in Miss Marjorie Newport's studio.
