RETURN FROM CONTINENT

(From "The Post's" Representative.) LONDON, May 8.

The time of the Minister of Financß and Minister of Marketing (the Hon. Walter Nash) continues to be fully occupied, attending to matters which he desires to complete before the opening of the Imperial Conference. .His last few days in Russia were much occupied, for-in addition- to trade, matters Mr.'Nash and his staff had several long conferences with Moscow: officials discussing State planning,r health, trade union organisation, import and • export of films,, internal trade organisation, and price fixation. '■■ - On arrival at Berlin from Moscow, Mr. Nash was met by members of the German Foreign Office. Discussions upon trade were continued with re« presentatives of the various departments. •.,■'',' The' party arrived at Croydon by air in the evening, when Mr. "Nash was a guest of the Company of Clockmakers and proposed the toast to tht Lord Mayor and Sheriffs of London.

This week Mr. Nash addressed a' distinguished gathering'at the Empire Parliamentary Conference upon "Imperial Economic Co-operation." Th« following evening, as a guest of Sir Aba Bailey at dinner, he met the Prima Minister of South Africa (General-the Hon. J. B. M. Hertzog). Yesterday, he addressed students of Bonar Law College, Ashbridge, on "Migration and Imperial Trade."
