ANGLO-RUSSIAN TRADE.
The Union Social Soviet Russia Trade Delegation in Great Britain reports as follows:—The total value,of the orders placed in Great Britain in March of this year amounted to £2,607,742 as compared with £1,088,283 in March of last year. The figures for the first quarter of this year were £7,368,130 as compared with £2,188,576 in the first quarter of 1936, a more than threefold increase. The following shows orders placed and purchases made in Great Britain in March, 1937: —Machinery and Equipment, £263,081; Ferrous Alloys and Steel, £100,305.; Non-Ferrpus Metals, £1,378,752,- Textile Raw Materials, £314,609; Rubber, £405,212; Chemicals, & £53,086; Tea, £41,179; Miscellaneous, £51,518; Total, £2,607,742. 1- '
