TENNIS TOURISTS

AUSTRALIANS' FITNESS

MELBOURNE, June 1

The Lawn Tennis Association of Australia has cabled • the manager of the Australian Davis Cup team, Mr. C. E. Sproule, as follows:—"In the players' interest we suggest that you get medical advice on whether A. H. Quist and V. B. McGrath will be fit to play at Wimbledon. If they are not, we desire them to return to Australia direct."

A New York message states that Mr. Sproule, commenting on the cable, said: "McGrath unquestionably is fit to play at Wimbledon, Quist will be X-rayed tomorrow and the medical report will, indicate whether or not he should return."
