WRESTLING BOUTS
BLOMFIELD DEFEATED
(By Telegraph—Frtss Association.) DUNEDIN, May 30.
In one of the best wrestling bouts ever seen; here, Jack Spellman (16.0) defeated "Lofty" Blomfield (16.6) last night by two falls .tp one. Blomfield scored with an octopus clamp in the third round, Spellman equalising in the fifth with an aeroplane spin, dump, and body press, after three terrific dumps. Blomfield was groggy in the sixth, and the American had no difficulty in securing another fall with an aeroplane spin and body press. It was a hard, fast contest, devoid of showmanship, Spellman's display marking him as one of the cleverest wrestlers ever to appear in Dunedin.
