MORNINGTON LADIES' CLUB

During the weekend a team selected by the captain played a team selected by the secretary at Mornington. There were twenty-six players a side, and the games were keenly contested. In the fourball games in the morning honours were easy with 6J games all. In the afternoon in the singles the captain's team carried the day with twelve games to eight with five games all square.

The 18 holes bogey competition was won by C. B. Eversleigh 1 up, the next best cards being H. R. Baigent, all square; D. Ganson, 2 down; J. Elton, 2 down; D. B.Stratmore, 2 down; H. B. Craighead, 3 down; F. Laycock, 3 down.

The fourball best-ball bogey resulted in a tie between L. W. McGirr and A. E. Clarke and S. Ward and H. J. McGec, each 3 up, the next cards being R. Smith, F. A. Wells, R. T. McElligott, F. W. Andrews, C. Banks, and A. Thomson, each 1 up; O. G. Hearne and C. B. Eversleigh, all square.

Next weekend an 18-hole bogey competition will bo played. The A division will play for the Hardwickc Trophy and the B division for the Evans Trophy.

Entries close on Sunday,' June 6. for the mixed Canadian foursome which will be played on Sunday, June 13.
