MONEY FOR AMERICA
Several Melbourne stock and share brokers have been drawing the attention of investors recently to the opportunities afforded in the American market for investment in sound securities. It is observed that the recent unfavourable reaction was not due to any weakening in the industrial situation in America, but solely to unfounded rumours regarding the possibility of America reducing the price of gold: Industrial activity in United States, in spite of strikes and speculators' rumours, continues at a high level, the steel industry, for example, at present operating at 88 per cent, of its full capacity, according to private advice re^ ceived'in Melbourne. The prospects of capital appreciation of several of the stocks recommended is stressed. An increasingly large amount of Australian investors' funds is being attracted to the American market. Regular market information is now supplied to clients by some Melbourne stock and share houses.
