MR. W. T. MACK
Mr. W. T. Mack, a highly-esteemed and much-respected resident of Wellington over a period of 63 years, died at his late residence, Seatoun, last evening. He was in his eighty-third year. The deceased, who was a native of Old Trafford, Manchester, came to Wellington as a young man and entered the service of the late Mr. J. E. Hayes, plumber, Lambton Quay. Mr. Mack was later one of the 'founders of the engineering firm of Messrs: Jenkins and Mack, Ltd., and was, until his death, a governing director. -He took an active interest in the business until the illness which overtook him a week ago. • ■ ■ ■ ' In his younger days Mr, Mack was a very keen and skilful bowler and was a former' president of the Victoria Bowling Club, with, which club he had been associated for many years. He was also' a t member of St. Andrew's Masonic Lodge for over 'fifty years and was its oldest member. . Mr Mack leaves a widow, two sons,' Messrs. Arthur J. Mack and Charles W Mack,' Wellington, and two daughters, Mesdames J. A. Nicol, Seatoun, and N. Witcornbe, Auckland, and eleven grandchildren. ■ ■
