YACHT MARANGI FOR WELLINGTON

(By Telegraph—i'ress Association.) CHKISTCHURCH, This Day. The yacht Marangi, with a crew of five, sailed from last night for Wellington, and is expected to reach there in forty-eight hours from sailing time. The Marangi has been sold by Mr. Tracy Gough to Mr. P. Scott Eamsay. She is the second largest yacht in the Banks Peninsula fleet. ' Mr. Scott Eamsay was the owner of the Marangi when she was sold to Mr. Gough about four years ago. For a number of years prior to her leaving Wellington she was one of the most successful of the local racing craft and consistently took the honours in firstclass events. \ Sir J. Gowland Hopkins. England, and Sir David Rivett, of Melbourne, have been elected honorary members of the Koyal Society, of New Zealand.
