Hogg, of Pe'tone. WADSWORTH—MURRAY. The engagement is announced of Madge Bondfield (Peggy), third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Murray, of Takaka, to Clifford Noel, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Wadsworth, of Takaka.

Mrs. J. D. Sievwright, The Terrace, returned this morning from the south, where she has been spending two months' holiday. She was accompanied by- her sister, Miss McCallum, Dunedin, who will be her guest for about six or eight weeks. Mrs. C. H. Mills, Blenheim, and the Misses Mills are paying a visit to Wellington. ' Mrs. C. Morrish, Wellington, is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Burden, Blenheim. Miss D. Stack, England, daughter of the late Archdeacon Stack, formerly of Fendalton, is visiting Christchurch and is the guest of Mrs. T. B. Beckett. She will leave for England, via Sydney, on June 9. Miss Patricia Luckie, who has been spending several months in Sydney, returned to Wellington by the Maunganui this morning. Miss N. Reeves, Christchurch, arrived this morning from the south to visit friends in Wellington. Mrs. P. A. Courtney, Manakau, who has been visiting her mother, Mrs. H. M. Kirkby, Hamilton East, has returned home. Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Davis, Christchurch, will leave by the Maunganui tomorrow for Sydney. Miss Elizabeth Loe is visiting Hamilton to direct the School of Drama of the Waikato area group of the British Drama League, which opened on Wednesday. Miss K. Organ is a Blenheim visitor to Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. R. Drake, Wellington, are staying at the Grosvenor Hotel, Timaru. Mrs. B. R. Zeiser, Wellington, is visiting Auckland and is staying at the Grand Hotel. Miss M. Skinner and Miss Richards, Wellington, are the guests of Mrs. L. Randall, Te Puke. Miss L. Forbes, Blenheim, is in Wellington. Mesdames G. R. Grace (Hunterville), W. White (Eketahuna), A. W. Fleming (Auckland), Roberts (Scotland), Bourn (England), Miss Russell (Wanganui), and Miss J. Masterton, was among the delegates attending the conference of the British Christian Council for International Friendship, Life and Work. Youth Committee meeting at Hillcroft College, Surbiton, Surrey, which took place from April 10 to. 12, states "The Post's" London representative. She also took part in the deliberations of the British Youth Peace Assembly at Milton Hall, Manchester (April 23 to 25). On April 30 she attended the League of Nations Youth Peace Rally at the Albert Hall when the speakers included Lord Cecil, M. Pierre Cot (French Minister for Air), M Hambro (President of the Norwegian Parliament), M. M. Rolin (Belgian Senator), and Dr.Alica Massark. All the speakers gave fine addresses and two important resolutions concerning the present international: situation were passed without dissent. Sister E. W. Bett (London) and Miss J. C. Brearny (Hong Kong) are staying at the Hotel St. George. Mrs. Carswell (Sydney), Mrs. E. W. Simms and Miss T. Wells (Auckland), and Mrs. N.
