SHOTS FfkED BY POLICE (By Telegraph— Press Association.> NAPIER, t This Day. An extensive man-hunt by the police after a burglary at a store ended in the early hours of this morning in the arrest of a Maori, aged 24, at Te Pohue. He appeared in court on a charge of converting a car to his own use. A party of police were sent from Napier yesterday afternoon and shots were fired over the Maori's head when once he was sighted. The police stated that more serious charges would be made against the Maori when next ne was before the Court on June 7.
