8.8.C. APOLOGISES
FADE-OUT OF BROADCAST (Received May 28, 12.45 p.m.) LONDON, May 27. The British Broadcasting Corporation has apologised for LieutenantCommander T. R. B. Woodrooffe's broadcast of the naval review at Spitr head on May 21 which faded out sensationally, and says that after his return from a short period of sick leave he will be transferred to duties which will not involve speaking at the microphone.
