RED PASSION FLOWER

A BEAUTIFUL CLIMBING

PLANT

Laxonia Van Volxemii, the red passion flower,, is one "of the most beautiful of climbing plants for warm climates. It is not quite hardy, severe frosts killing the growths. This climber, to be seen to v full advantage, should be grown over a pergola or arch so that the large deep-red blooms —from 6in to Bin across—may hang down on their 12in long wiry stems. Young plants are somewhat difficult to establish, and should be protected with a few scrubby branches until fresh growth is made.
