NEW ZEALAND SHIPMENTS

Further shipments of stud sheep to Australia have been made lately and n now appears certain that a very good markethas been established for New Zealand-bred sheep in the Australian States, more especially South Australia, where, this year, the majority of the stud sheep have been forwarded Recent shipments to Melbourne ana Sydney cover,1 Romney, Southdown. Border Leicester; arid ;Comedale sheep which have mostly come from the Canterbury, Manawatu, and Wairarapa dis* tricts. Consignments through the stud stock department of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., have included a number of stud Ryeland ewes ex Mr. W G. Shannon, Palmerston North, to Mr. H. G. Gorbold, of Sydney, and stud Romney evyes ex Messrs. Vos s Bros., Lohgburn to Mr R Wardle, of Brim, Victoria. Romney sheep for South Australia haye been selected from the studs ot well-known breeders, including Messrs. Voss ■Bros., Longburh; R. W. Matthews Featherston; J. A. Mitchell, Longburn; and Blair and Sons. Maxwell, while Corriedalcs and Border Leicester's have been selected from the following .notable Canterbury flocks: Estate of the late H T Littie, Hawarden; Messrs. David Sidey, Hawarden; James Reid, Darfield; M, McGregor, Dunsandel; W. O. Rennid, Doyleston; and L. E. Myers, of Oxford.
