RISE TO FAME,
One always associated Wembley with tennis. Also to the English it is a doubly important • place, as it is the site where the annual:: Rugby Cup final is held. In a very few years' time, however, their boast may well be that : it is the birthplace of Diana 'Churchill —Britain's new film star. Miss Churchill was born there in 1913. Fair- : haired, blue-eyed, petite, she incorpor- ; ates in herself all the answers to the ' criticism that Britain lacks film stars . with glamour and personality. ' Miss . Churchill formerly was a stage star of , great fame, but in 1933 was sought ; after by prominent film directors to : make a film. She finally consented, . and in that year made two minor films, ' but really came into the limelight in 1 "Foreign Affaires," with Tom Walls. ' Then she was signed up .to star in ' "Dishonour Bright" with him also. ' After that came "Sensation," with John ! Lodge. Now she will shortly be seen in < "The Dominant Sex," which film re- ' suited in a five-year contract with Associated British Productions.
