TE AROHA IMPROVEMENTS

Extensive improvements to the Te Aroha racecourse have been decided on by the Te Aroha Jockey Club. A strip of latter at the back of the racecourse: property has been purchased for a rpadway to the parking area. Work on this road will begin very soon. The new thoroughfare will relieve race-day congestion by taking the traffic from .Auckland and the direftfon of Hamilton.

The totalisator building is to be rr.oved to' a central position three chains behind the grandstand, and will again be greatly extended. Provision will be made for a larger number1 of. spectators by extending the lawri in front of the grandstand a further three chains to the eastward.. The club has in view also a scheme of improvements to the track.
