AUCKLAND, May 26.
The annual inter-university college hockey tournament commenced today in fine weather. Ground conditions were ideal. <
Canterbury scored an easy victory over Massey Agricultural College by 8 goals to nil. Victoria defeated Auckland by,3 to nil, and in a friendly game Auckland A beat Otago by 3 to nil.
The draw for tomorrow is as follows: —Canterbury v. Auckland A, Victoria v. Otago. Women's matches will also be' played tomorrow.-
