MORE DISCUSSIONS ' COMMITTEE TO BE SET UP ■,: (British Official wireless.) ; (Received May 26, 1.15 p.m.) RUGBY, May: 25. A meeting of the. principal delegates to the Imperial Conference was held in the Cabinet room at No. 10 Downing Strest today, Mr. Baldwin presiding.. Yesterday's discussion on defence was continued by the Prime Minister of New Zealand (Mr. M. J. Savage), the Minister of Finance for South Africa <Mr. Havenga), Lord Zetland,, on behalf Of India, and by Sir Thomas Inskip. It was agreed that a commit, tee should tie set up to consider questions of mutual interest in the supply and production of munitions, raw ma» terials, food, and feeding stuffs, and that Sir Thomas Tnskip should be chairman and convener of the committee. The Minister cf . War (Mr. . Duff Cooper) outlined the steps being taken to'bring the organisation and "equipment ..of the regular and territorial armies up to date and the Secretary of State for Air (Lord Swinton) made a corresponding statement regarding the Royal Air Force. Discussion was adjourned until tomorrow morn-, ing when: the First Lord ■ of the Admiralty (Sir Samuel Hoare) will make a statement on the Navy.
