Reliable information was difficult to obtain, but ordinarily speaking the position appeared to b.e that the Italian Government was now in occupation of the whole of Abyssinia with the exception of the district in the south-west of the country lying to the west of Maji, and a small area between Bani Shanrul and Gambeila adjoining the Sudan frontier.
