ITALY IN ABYSSINIA (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, May 24. The Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Viscount Cranbourne, stated in the House of Commons that in the past three or four months the Italian forces had further extended the area of their occupation in Abyssinia. . Reliable information was difficult to obtain, but ordinarily speaking the position appeared to b.e that the Italian Government was now in occupation of the whole of Abyssinia with the exception of the district in the south-west of the country lying to the west of Maji, and a small area between Bani Shanrul and Gambeila adjoining the Sudan frontier.
