PLIMMERTON NOTES
During the winter season a bridge afternoon is given each Thursday, in aid of the Plimmerton Croquet Club, by Mrs. Tovey and Miss Amoore, at the residence of the former at Plimmerton. In honour of the Coronation, a flag bridge afternoon was held recently. The beautiful room, with its fine pictures and cabinets of art treasures, was gaily decorated with flags to celebrate the occasion, and the party will long be remembered by those who were present. A dainty afternoon tea was served by the hostess. Many good prizes were given. The second play-reading of the Plimmerton Players was given recently, when the play chosen was "Mr. Pirn Passes By," by A. A. Milne, in three acts, and was produced by Mrs. Hill. The reading was creditable to the society and was much appreciated by a large audience. Those taking part in the reading were Mrs. N. Kerr, Mrs. J. Treadwell, Misses G. Dalliston and J; Tunnicliffe, and Messrs. J. Belton, Griffiths, and C. Dallaston. Supper was served by the committee.
