FAST FLIGHT

Slightly more than two.hours was the time taken by the Auckland Aero Club's Beechcraft ambulance biplane, 'ZK-AEU, to fly from Auckland to Wellington today, the machine leaving the northern city a little before 10 a.m. and arriving at Rongotai at noon. The time is believed to be a record. FlightLieutenant D. M. Allan was the pilot, and there were three passengers, Messrs. L. W. Swan, A. W. Hewitt, and G. F. Moore. Messrs. Hewitt , and Moore will be passengers on the Akaroa which is to sail for Southampton at 5 p.m. Flight-Lieutenant Allan and Mr. Swan returned to Auckland in the Beechcraft, taking off from Rongotai at about 1.30 p.m.
