; FOREST HILLS, May 23. The Australian Davis Cup' players returned by train early this evening after an overnight stay at the Moorestowri Field Club, where in exhibition matches yesterday C. E. Sproule and j J. Bromwich beat J. Crawford (Australia) and V. Richards (U.g.A.), 6-4, 6-3. The, third set was halted at 6-6. In the singles Crawford beat Bromwich, 7-5, the second set being halted at 5-5. Sproule beat Richards, 6-4.
