DEFICIT IN PALESTINE
EFFECT OF ARAB STRIKE
(Received May 25, noon.) ' JERUSALEM, May 24. The Government reports that there was a deficit of £1,936,000 for the year which ended on March 31, which is attributable to the Arab strike and the extraordinary military expenditure which it entailed.
