CARELESS CYCLING

(Special to the "Evening Post.") PALMERSTON N, This Day. A cyclist who rode his machine with his hands in his pockets was fined £1 with 10s costs in the Palmerston North Magistrate's Court yesterday. The police intimated that they proposed prosecuting everyone caught riding cycles carelessly. A boy of 6 years, David Fitzgerald, living at 7 Bridge Street, Kilbirnie, was knocked over by a motor-lorry in Kilbirnie yesterday afternoon. A wheel of the lorry went over his right leg.
