WAIMARIE CROQUET CLUB
The annual meeting of the Waimarie Croquet Club was held recently. The annual report was read, special mention of the excellent condition of the lawns during the past season being made. This was due to the untiring efforts of Mr. E. Hutt (reserves superintendent) and his staff. The North Island and also the Wellington provincial tournament were held on the Waimarie green, and the visitcfs were delighted with the playing conditions. The balance-sheet showed a very satisfactory state of affairs. The election of officers resulted as follows: —President,- Mrs. G. H. Savage; hon. secretary, Mrs. J. A. Kelly; hon. treasurer, Mrs. E. Stoupe; committee, Mesdames J. W. Jones (vice-president), M. Rowe, G. H. Mouat, E. Cooper, H. Flux, E. J. Young, F. Vaughan, arid L. Lawrence; sports committee, Mesdames Mouat (captain). Flux, Young, Vaughan, Cooper, Laurance, with the president, and secretary ex, oSjcio; tea committee, Mesdames Jones (convener), Murphy, Vagg,' Strand; patroness,.. Mrs. J. W. Andi'swj (Mayoress); hon.. vice-patroness, Mrs. J. Mitchell; delegates to Croquet Association, Mesdames .Mo.uaJL'and Kelly,
