ST. JOHN FREE AMBULANCE

(From "The Post's" Representative.) WANGANUI, May 24. Practically every women's organisation in Wanganui assisted the special appeal, organised by the secretary, Mr. D. Gullery, and members of the Wr.nganui St. John Free Ambulance last week, states the "Pest's" correspondent. The appeal was well supported, £51 being received in subscriptions and donations, and £176 13s 3d by a general collection in the city and suburbs, the total being £227 13s 3d. When several other amounts have been sent in, the total is expected to reach £250, a gratifying advance on the amount of £166 collected last year. This money will materially assist the brigade in its building scheme of a garage and staff headquarters.
